Ever wonder why some people live like the stars of an Oscar-winning movie while others feel stuck in a never-ending soap opera? It all starts with thoughts. That little voice in your head? It controls your emotions, your mood, and even your actions.
Thoughts come first, then emotions, then the actions that translates into results! Your thoughts are the foundation of your reality and you literraly manifest your life through your thoughts.
Negative thoughts like “I’m not good enough”, "I'm worthless", "I'll never make it", "Who am I to dream?" lead to insecurity and inaction. Positive thoughts like “I can do this”, "I am capable", "I am open to new opportunities", "I learn from my mistakes" fuel confidence and action.
Now, imagine these two different scenarios:
🔴 Scenario 1:
"That job looks great, but I’ll never get it. The market is tough. Someone better will take it. Why even try? What will people say? "
With thoughts like these, this person will feel discouraged, insecure, stuck, frustrated. And what will he do? NOTHING. Or he will make mistakes…maybe he won’t even send his resume! Or he’ll show up to the interview with low energy and poor posture that the interviewer will notice… or maybe he’ll have a panic attack before or during the interview.
🟢 Scenario 2:
"That job is perfect for me! It’s a challenge, but I have the skills. I can do it! I’ll update my resume and apply!"
This person will feel motivated, energized, maybe a little nervous, but ready to take action. He will send his resume, he will tell all his friends he wants to change his job, he will show up for the interview and… who knows? Maybe he will land his dream job!
Thoughts influence emotions – you can't feel fear unless you first think about something scary. You can’t feel anger unless you first think about someone who made you mad, right? The emotions influence your state of mind, which in turn guides your actions and decisions – or your behaviors, which are just actions repeated over and over until they become habits. And then, obviously, the actions you take and the results you get lead to more thoughts, and so on…
Your Mind is a Ladder – Are You Going Up or Down? if your thoughts are positive, you climb towards success and peace of mind. If they’re negative, you go down towards doubt, stress, and fear.
You deserve to have, be, and do more! You are smart, beautiful, talented, and kind enough to deserve the life you dream of! You’ve just been programmed since childhood to think otherwise. You’ve been conditioned to doubt yourself, to feel guilty, or to feel ashamed for wanting more. Or maybe you just never had the right role models in your family.
The good news? You can change it! The only thing we can truly control in life is our thoughts. We can’t control traffic, the weather, the financial crisis, our moody boss, or our annoying neighbor.
But we CAN choose whether to tell ourselves:
"I am capable" or "I’m worthless."
"I’m a failure" or "I learn from my mistakes – I am a learner!"
"I am a good person, I deserve abundance" or "There’s nothing good in me, I’m stupid, I always mess things up… Who would ever want to be with me?"
Next time you face a challenge, ask yourself:
💡 What thought will help me climb higher?
💡 Can I be kinder to myself?
💡 Can I stop complaining and start finding solutions?
💡Can I tell myself that this time, it’s possible for me too?
Your life is built on the thoughts you choose. So, choose thoughts that help you rise.
